The ETNOFILM documentary film festival, which annually offers a unique perspective on cultural and social topics from around the world, culminated on November 15 with an awards ceremony. Over the course of four days, visitors could watch 29 competitive films from 22 countries, participate in professional seminars, presentations and discussions with filmmakers. Accompanying activities included exhibitions of non-professional art, a commented tour of children's Slovak folk costumes and a presentation of the Kysuce village - Kysuce craftsmen and regional gastronomy.

The 23rd International Film Festival ETNOFILM was also held at the University of Žilina at the Department of Mediamatics and Cultural Heritage. Students, teachers and the public had the opportunity to see competitive documentary films that showed different cultures, traditions and challenges of today's world.

The 23rd International Film Festival ETNOFILM was held for the first time at the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra. This collaboration opened the door for a broad academic community to participate in screenings of documentary films focusing on traditions, cultures and the diversity of life in different parts of the world.

The 23rd ETNOFILM international film festival brought its unique atmosphere to the V-club in Bratislava. This cultural space, known for its support of art, traditions and creative dialogue, hosted part of the festival screenings and at the same time offered the opportunity to discuss professional topics related to documentary film and ethnography.

Domovina is a weekly Slovak cultural magazine. It provides information about the culture of Slovaks in Hungary, its historical, musical, ideological and cultural history, scientific, gastronomic and ethnographic values, and considers its mission to present the values ​​of the homeland, Slovakia. The program also regularly produces monothematic programs and documentaries.

The 23rd ETNOFILM International Film Festival will take place on November 12-15, 2024 in the cities of Čadca, Žilina, Nitra, Banská Bystrica and Bratislava. 109 films from 35 countries applied for the current edition, of which the Festival Selection Committee included 29 films from 22 countries in the main competition.
