ETNOFILM 2024
When the late autumn fog rolls over northern Slovakia and Kysuca, the international ETNOFILM festival is held every other year in the town of Čadca. The history of the oldest Slovak documentary film festival began in 1980. At the screening organized from November 12 to 15, our editors are again in the competition program with two films and we expect real treasures from all over the world. 101 documentary films from more than 30 countries of the world were nominated for this year's edition. The biggest news is that ETNOFILM took place in several locations and also on university grounds. The screenings took place at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, the University of Žilina in Žilina, the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, and other cultural and educational institutions in the Žilina region. This brought the program of this year's ETHNOFILM to a total of 11 locations!
