CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION
a/ Films can be submitted to the competition by creators, producers, distributors - institutions, as well as natural persons.
b/ Creators, producers, distributors - institutions, as well as individuals can enter an unlimited number of films into the competition. Submission of films to the competition is free. The festival organizers do not cover the fees associated with the screening of the film.
c/ The applicant completely fills out the free online application form located on the festival website www.etnofilm.sk and sends it no later than 5/31/2024 so that the film can be submitted to the selection committee.
d/ Films that were produced after January 1, 2022 and were not registered at the 22nd ETHNOFILM ČADCA 2022 can be accepted into the international competition.
e/ The applicant honestly declares that he is entitled to submit the film to the competition and does not thereby violate copyright and license rights. The organizer is not responsible for possible infringement of the law resulting from the unauthorized submission of films to the competition.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Films can be submitted from March 1, 2024.
a/ Applying for a film means properly filling out the electronic application form and sending it no later than 5/31/2024.
b/ The film can be delivered to the organizer electronically via a video link /e.g. via VIMEO, YouTube and other video channels/, in the case of a secure movie, a password must be provided.
If the given link offers insufficient quality of the film, the organizer will invite the applicant to send a high-quality version of the film, or its parts. If the applicant does not respond to the invitation, the film will be automatically removed from the list of applicants.
c/ It is necessary to add a dialogue list in the Slovak or English language version to the submitted film by uploading it as part of the application form. The dialogue list should be delivered in SRT format as well as with individual Timecodes for the responses of the respondents.

d/ As part of the electronic registration form, the condition for inclusion in the ETHNOFILM ČADCA 2024 competition section is to send promotional materials:
synopsis
director information/filmography,
1 photo of the director and 3 photos from the film (poster),
video trailer up to 2 min.
e/ Technical requirements for submitted films: video files in the recommended projection format HD 1080p, bitrate min 20 mbit, H264 or X264, H265, container mp4, mov, mkv, mxf.
f/ The organizer will use the submitted film during the festival for the purposes of film projection and after the end of the festival it will be included in the archive of the ČADCA ETNOFILM IFF for the purpose of documentation and possible use exclusively for non-commercial purposes (research, education, post-festival screenings of films).
g/ Failure to meet the stated requirements entitles the organizer not to include the film in the competition.
h/ The organizer will confirm the registration of the completed application form with all necessary attachments to the applicant electronically.
