International biennial film festival of documentary ethnological film - 23nd edition NOVEMBER 2024

International contest shall offer films with themes from the field of social and cultural anthropology and ethnology in a wide sense of the term, from various expressions of traditional folk culture up to the life of a present day man in the complexity and diversity of the changing world and the way of life.

Vlach Ethnic Community in Serbia preserves its language, material and cultural heritage for centuries. The dance for the dead (dat uora đi pomană) is only one of a series of autochthonous rituals by which the Vlachs cultivate the cult of the dead.
