Kysuce can be proud of its rich cultural tradition, which is commemorated every two years not only by domestic but also international participants at the prestigious international ETNOFILM festival. The festival of documentary films with an ethnographic theme is an important platform for the presentation and reflection of the cultural heritage of the nations of the world. In 2024, its program will take place not only in Čadca, where the festival has its roots, but will also expand to ten other Slovak cities: Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Nitra, Bratislava, Turzovka, Námestovo, Ružomberok, Liptovský Mikuláš, Dolný Kubín, Martin.
Each of them has its own special history and cultural weight, which gives the festival an exceptional meaning.
