Documentary film about the work of director Dušan Hanák focusing on his feature film Pictures of the Old World /1972/ and short films Mass /1967/ and To Leave a Trace /1970/. "Pictures of the Old World" have the character of a free, independent film with a deeply human dimension, despite the fact that they were created during the harshest normalization, after the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968.
