A lesson in patriotism tells the story of a Polish primary school singing competition in which children perform patriotic songs full of heroism, bravery, blood, sweat and tears. Through the clear presentation of the performers and the audience and the tension that is created between parents and teachers and finally during the deliberations of the jury, it opens up questions about the meaning of patriotism and its institutional confirmation for the next generation.
