In 2001, he completed his studies in film science at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Music in Bratislava. Currently, he works as an independent researcher at the Institute of Theater and Film Science of the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Bratislava. At the same time, he lectures in the field of dramaturgy and screenwriting at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and leads a seminar on the history and theory of documentary film at the Studio of Documentary Creation at the FTF VŠMU in Bratislava. He is the author of numerous articles and professional studies in the field of film theory and history and the book publication Perception in the Mirror of Photography and Film (2010) and co-author of the monograph Actor Ivan Palúch (2008). In 2015, he published the comprehensive publication Author's Documentary Film in Slovakia after 1989 and in 2017 the monograph Censorship and Documentary Film after 1989. Director of the feature film Countdown – Ivan Palúch's last film (2022). Since 2023, he has been the artistic director of the Art Film Festival in Košice.

In 2001, he completed his studies in film editing at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Music in Bratislava. He founded two production companies - Filmpark production and FilmWorx, which are actively involved in the development and production of feature-length, documentary and animated films, including television series. He currently works as a film producer and teacher at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Banská Bystrica. He is also a member of the Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA).
