The film Hniezdo ďaleko od domova tells the story of four people with complex destinies who, after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, are trying to find their nest in Slovakia and build a new life here. Find out how social worker Marina in Košice, teenager Roman in Nitra, teacher Elena and her family in Bratislava and student Hanna, who takes care of her brother in Michalovce, managed to find a temporary or new home in Slovakia.
They managed the painful journey to a better life thanks to the help of the supporters of the humanitarian organization. The fates of these brave people show us how essential it is to provide help and support for their integration. The documentary is also a testimony to their inner strength and determination, thanks to which they integrated into a foreign country and became a full-fledged part of the new society. The documentary was created in cooperation with RTVS and UNICEF Slovakia under the direction of Marek Vaňous and Tomáš Hallon.
The presentation of the film will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.
